About the Owners
The owners of Kids Exchange of Greater Charleston South Carolina are thrilled to host Charleston's Largest and Only "ALL SEASONS", " ALL BRANDS " Bi-Annual Kids Consignment Sale and Community Event.
Kids Exchange of Greater Charleston, South Carolina is a franchise of Kids Exchange International of Raleigh, North Carolina. The area franchise is owned and operated by the Wordsworth Family, Jim & Karen Wordsworth, Kimberly Wordsworth – Murphy & Greg Murphy. All have many years of business experience and community reinvestment, chiefly through the Hospitality and Service Industries.
Their base enterprise is J.R.’s Goodtimes, Inc., of McLean, Virginia which is comprised of well known Foodservice related businesses. For many years, they have served as Caterer of the Washington Nationals Baseball team, Caterer of The White House Easter Egg Roll, official Caterer of Loudoun County, Virginia and operate all of the Loudoun County owned sportplexes.
Since the inception of their companies, the Wordsworth’s have included community investment, youth investment, and the support of many community charities as key components of their business plan. The Northern Virginia Community Association, United Cerebral Palsy, County 4-H programs, Little League, Boy and Girl Scott camporees and jamborees, Youth for Tomorrow and others have been continually served.
The Founder of J.R.'s Goodtimes, Inc, Jim serves on the US Chamber of Commerce and the Board of the National Restaurant Association and is a longtime Trustee of it’s Educational Foundation. The companies have received many Citizenship, Good Neighbor and Humanitarian awards, commendations from County Boards of Supervisors and the Virginia General Assembly.
The entire Wordsworth family is active both financially and personally in each of these community investments and always challenge their peers to do likewise. The companies were awarded “largest small business giver” in 2000, by the National Philanthropic Society, and Jim was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001 by United Cerebral Palsy.
Kimberly & Greg are owners and operaters of a Custom Label Water Company Aquatise, Inc and a Beverage Distribution Company, KBev, Inc. In 2001 Kimberly & Jim were awarded a certificate of appreciation from the North Carolina Restaurant Association for their efforts in serving and supplying food and bottled water to both the Pentagon and Ground Zero in NYC on 9.11.
